Chicago Things To Do is operated by Di Nerd Apps LLC ("we"). It's a read-only lookup tool for public data.
What we receive
When an AI assistant uses Chicago Things To Do, it sends us the dates, ZIP code, age group and topic words you asked about. We don't ask for your name, email, location or any account.
How we use it
Only to look up matching public records and return them to your assistant.
What we keep
- We don't store or log your lookups. There's no database.
- To stay fast and respect data providers' rate limits, identical lookups may be cached on Cloudflare's network for a short time (minutes to hours), then they expire automatically.
- No cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking.
Who else is involved
- City of Chicago Data Portal (Socrata / Tyler Technologies) receives the lookup query in order to answer it.
- Cloudflare hosts the service and, like any web host, processes network data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
- Your AI assistant provider (for example Meta or Anthropic) handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.
We never sell or share data for advertising.
Public data
Records come from public sources. We can't change or remove them; contact the publishing agency about the records themselves.
Children
The service isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes
We'll update this page and its effective date if anything changes.
